The beautiful souls at The Inn at Park Winters recently opened up their property for the first annual Photographers Spring Invitational. Artists were invited to come to the property, soak in the beauty of spring and document in whatever artistic medium desired. As a wedding photographer, I have been here many times, so it was nice to come out and enjoy a bit of quiet time and photograph some personal work.

I wandered for hours. The lavender swayed slowly in the spring breeze as bumble bees buzzed about. The tulips were tall and bright, scattered around the property in the most perfect places. Birds sang sweet songs in the trees above me, while others bathed in the fountain, and as the sun began to set, I watched hawks soaring high above the farm.

It was such a beautiful and inspirational day. The love and intention poured into this property is evident every time you turn a corner. Thank you Park Winters for inviting us out and sharing your world with all of us creatives. It was so peaceful and truly appreciated.

Below are some of my most favorite images from my time here, and I am so honored to have won 2nd place for the first image shown.

Sitting above the clouds at 10,023 feet, watching the sunset on the summit of Haleakala volcano, will forever be one of my greatest travel memories.  We sat here for hours in awe of the beauty. I imagine it might be similar to what being on Mars would feel like. Crazy weather patterns, unbearable heat, high winds then in an instant, freezing cold. We sat quietly admiring the landscape. The clouds moved so quickly and with such grace as the sun began to set. Truly and incredible experience.

On our recent road trip thru Oregon, we took a day to travel out to Cannon Beach. Our AirBNB was in Beaverton, and Cannon Beach was just a short hour and a half drive from us. We spent the morning roaming the beach and taking in the beautiful seascape. The scenery was pretty surreal, and Haystack Rock was so much bigger and beautiful that I had imagined.  (real talk: I had NO clue that this was the beach from The Goonies! I later found out after I posted an instagram, and someone left a comment that said, “Goonies never say die!” so, I ask Chris if he knew, and of course was like, duh…you didn’t know that?!) LOL!

We took our time on the journey back, meandering through the countryside. The roads were so lonely and we saw so much beautiful wildlife. We even had time to stop at a couple of wineries to do some tastings. It was such a wonderful day!  Below are a few of my favorite images from our adventure! xx
