This past February, I traveled to Washington to photograph a dear friends wedding at Woodhouse Wine Estates in Woodinville. It is always such an honor to document weddings, but even more special when it is a friend. I have known the groom, Mike, for many years, (in fact, you’ll spot my hubby as a groomsman) and watching him marry Rachel was so sweet. Rachel was such a carefree bride and radiated absolute joy the entire day. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Bailey, and thank you so very much for including me in your wedding day. xx

last week while cleaning out a closet in my office, I stumbled upon a blank canvas and and set of paints that had been locked away for nearly 8 years. While taking a break from my cleaning, I decided to break out the paints and create a little artwork. I had so much fun that I rushed out to the art store the next morning and picked up a set of watercolors and paper to try my hand at something new. I have no idea what I am doing but it just feels so relaxing to create something for no reason at all. Below is my first attempt at a watercolor.

last week I skipped out of my office a bit early to go on a long hike and to enjoy the beautiful spring weather. The rain we have recieved this past winter has left our hills a brilliant shade of green, and the fields of wildflowers are just stunning.  I wandered aimlessly for several hours, taking time to truly appreciate where we live, and of course  create some beautiful images.

The beautiful souls at The Inn at Park Winters recently opened up their property for the first annual Photographers Spring Invitational. Artists were invited to come to the property, soak in the beauty of spring and document in whatever artistic medium desired. As a wedding photographer, I have been here many times, so it was nice to come out and enjoy a bit of quiet time and photograph some personal work.

I wandered for hours. The lavender swayed slowly in the spring breeze as bumble bees buzzed about. The tulips were tall and bright, scattered around the property in the most perfect places. Birds sang sweet songs in the trees above me, while others bathed in the fountain, and as the sun began to set, I watched hawks soaring high above the farm.

It was such a beautiful and inspirational day. The love and intention poured into this property is evident every time you turn a corner. Thank you Park Winters for inviting us out and sharing your world with all of us creatives. It was so peaceful and truly appreciated.

Below are some of my most favorite images from my time here, and I am so honored to have won 2nd place for the first image shown.
